Today is a very special day for two reasons.
It's Berrik's birthday--big hugs across the ocean!!! The internet was being funky and I'm so glad it started working in time for me to sing him Happy Birthday.
The second birthday is another kind of birthday. I went to the village as usual today to teach English. The lessons went well and I enjoyed it so much. I teach the English lessons in Narine's classroom. We have been praying that she would be sure of her salvation. Today after the English lessons I was able to share the Message with her a little and Tigran (one of our guys) brought it all home. She prayed right there in the classroom. I'm hoping it was all "genuine" and that she will grow in her faith. Also, I hope that she becomes a powerful tool in the hand of the Father there in that village.
I have been struggling with not feeling useful lately, so this wonderful event happened at just the right time. And really, it's not about me....I have needed to remind myself of that a lot lately!
I have several things to learn for my language lesson tomorrow....I have to be able to talk about my apartment. Also, I'm almost finished with the alphabet!!!! Thursday's lesson will hopefully wrap up all the letters!

Thanks for the birthday song yesterday morning. It was wonderful. It's also very exciting to see how God is working in the villages through your dedication to the english classes and witnessing there.

I'm so excited for you, friend! What an enormous blessing. I know the feeling of uselessness and being unnecessary; it's so great when such a blessing comes your way. I'll be praying for more!
