Today I saw the first snow of winter. My first snow in Armenia.
One of my favorite tv shows-- "Gilmore Girls"--makes a big deal about the "first snow". I thought of that show today as I saw the flakes coming down. My plans today were to travel to the village like every Wednesday and teach English. We only made it about a 1/3 of the way there before we had to turn back. The little taxis and other lightweight cars were swerving all over the place! One car that was just coasting along bumped into the hitch on the rear of our van. It was just that...a bump. Thank God! So, yeah, we turned back because the farther we drove, the worse the roads were getting. The village is a higher elevation than the city, so there was a lot more snow up there.
Tonite my roommate made dinner. It was interesting. We had some salad and she used mayonnaise for the dressing. We also had....shredded beets?....with mayo? Her other creation was some eggs with sausage and chick peas. I wasn't something I would cook for myself, but with some salt and pepper, it wasn't bad! Yes, I ate eggs. This is the 3rd time she has made me eggs and I just can't seem to say no!

Honestly, I think I'm more impressed by the fact that you're eating eggs than I am about the snow adventures!
Eggs, beets...what's next? You're a gal with a global view of the world in every way. Yes,you are always excited about snow and especially the first one. Glad you turned back before it got more dangerous. Have you been taking pics? I think you should begin if you haven't already.
ahh, "salad"!! I was talking to a native russian about this same type of salad just today!
Mix a little ketchup with that mayo and it will go a long way toward tasting like Thousand Island Dressing. I'm impressed with the grace God has given you to accept things as they are and make the best of every circumstance. It's an important lesson that even Apostle Paul had to learn: "I have learned to be content, whatever state I am in." You go girl! ~Ruby
Jaclyn, dear Jaclyn. You are one of the strongest, most faithful women of God I've ever met. I am thankful and blessed to call you friend! Your song/poem is absolutely beautiful! (reminds me of a shane and shane song! You are talented!) As always, I love and miss you! You encourage me more than you'll ever know!
Love-Audrey
