Almost that time...

I can't believe it's almost Christmas. I finally realized it was almost Christmas when the locals had more "New Year" decorations than I did! We finally put up our tiny tree in the apartment this week and also watched the epic "Christmas Vacation". I finally managed to do some Christmas shopping and got a hair cut today. Shopping is not one of my favorite things to do here, so I was thankful for being pretty productive yesterday and today. Venturing out is always, well, an adventure, so I was grateful to have Mary with me today as we shopped.

This is going to be such a busy week. Wednesday I have an English Christmas Party, Thursday is Christmas Eve, Christmas Day we will be having a women's event, then youth and children's events the days after that! Hectic times of planning, but it's worth it.

The Christmas/New Year season will be busy, so I'm already looking forward to getting away next month. I'll be heading to Germany for a conference. My roommate and I will go a couple days early and enjoy Frankfurt. That getaway will come at just the right time, I think!

I'm also looking forward to quietly reflecting on the birth of my Savior this week.

"With the first breath that left your lips did you know that you would change this world forever? The first time that you opened your eyes did you know that you would be my Savior?"

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas! Sounds like you have got the Christmas spirit.
How exciting to get to go to Germany for a few days. I hope it's like a small vacation. I would love to go with you. Love ya The Old Art Teacher.

Frankfurt-- I think it's a huge city. That's where we landed on our trip. Your tree is cute, and I love the items on the table. I'm sure it's an adventure to shop there, but I bet it's fun, too. We'll be thinking about you and praying for your team as you have special activities this week. Love!
