First Week in Greece.....

After enjoying the blessedness of American food, shopping, and cinema, the next adventure led me and my team to our company's conference. We boarded a bus that put us on the Greek island of Eretria. We had the awesome privilege of staying at a beautiful resort with great pools and a beach. I had no problem enjoying the Grecian sun next to the pool.

It's hard to rate what I enjoyed the most about this leg of the trip.

I LOVED the sun and scenery, but
I also LOVED connecting with friends and sharing about what we've been doing the past 8 months.
I LOVED singing in English. The team that led us was so gifted and the lyrics to the songs were exactly what I needed to sing and hear. Those were precious times.
I LOVED hearing the Word taught by a gifted man from North Carolina. I will be downloading some of his talks soon. He gave us some challenging things to consider!
I LOVED not cooking, yet eating 3 meals a day.
I LOVED the freedom of just being an American.

Story: So, our company has an auction at these yearly meetings to raise funds for further work. The auction is of course named after our dear aunt, Lottie. There is the silent auction and the....well....loud auction. I participated heavily in the silent auction as I vied for corn tortillas, salsa, jalapenos, and rotel. Yes. After a long battle, the prize was mine.

Other important events of the conference: Got TB tested (no TB for me), got my hair cut, forgot my massage appointment time and missed it, ate ice-cream at least once a day, got some good ideas to implement in my work, and I spoke a lot of English. I also got so much inspiration and encouragement to finish my journey strong.

Another tidbit of importance: I am here to tell you that these annual meetings are vital to my fellow workers' success and longevity on the field. They are entirely necessary.

All in all.....GREAT week in Greece.

I love the auction idea, That's really funny, that the auction items are all the things people miss eating from America.

What a beautiful way to be refreshed in every way. Did you win the Rotel, etc.? I want more CDs of you singing.
