Village day....

Life here is predictably unpredictable.

The dog that stays at our M center had puppies in the winter. All of them died except one. It's becoming a problem to take care of the mom and the puppy, so we wanted to take them out to the village today and give them to a family who will let them run around and also take good care of them.

It's the goal to go the village(s) on Wednesdays. Today as we were headed out of the city, I commented that we were leaving at record time. (There is normally an issue of leaving late). A couple minutes later we were stopped and looking under the hood. We traded vans and an hour later, we finally left the city.

A little later Puppy pooped. Right next to me.
We stopped, scraped it out with some paper and went on our way again.

A little later, Puppy threw up.
Great!
We stopped and tried to clean it up.

Puppy peed. several times.
And threw up again.
We gave up cleaning.

------------

Had a good time in the village today. In one village, my friend and I played with some random kids, taught them some songs, and talked about the Son. It was a great time and we hope to meet with them again next week. To my surprise (and delight), none of them asked me where I was from or made comments about the way I speak. They are friendly kids and I hope we will continue to have opportunities to teach them....and maybe their families.

-------------

No luck with giving the dogs away. We ended up leaving Puppy on the side of the road (tear) and bringing Angel (the momma dog) back home with us. All of you animal lovers probably just gasped, and I'm sorry. We did leave him in a town that has a lot of restaurants and so I think he will find food. Bob Barker would have a cow if he knew about the "pet population" in this country. Street dogs are the norm.

-------------

Oh....just another "normal" day

"Predictably unpredictable"
I love that.

All puppy, grossness aside, it sounds like you had a wonderful day. I'm glad things went well.

That was truly a descriptive blog entry. Remember when Jarrett found some little puppies and was feeding them, and then he brought them home....... Daddy wasn't very happy..
Maybe some day I'll have a puppy or a grown up dog.... but probably not any time soon
