Saturday Morning Cartoons wtih Frosted Flakes

Ok, so, some people here are having trouble adjusting to life at M "boot camp". I haven't really had much trouble with it.

BUT

This morning was Saturday and we had no class, no meetings, nothing that HAD to be done. So, I slept in (which was amazing), but then I didn't quite know what to do with myself. No TV! Most of the time I don't miss it, but I have today!

Last night was a good time to get out of the "compound" and enjoy American life again. I went with a couple of other girls to see "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2". It was a pretty good movie and it made me miss my girls. I also went to WALMART! and bought some coffee creamer, poptarts, and a couple new shirts. As much as I sometimes dread going to walmart, I miss it. And i will miss it when i go overseas.

As for the rest of today, I got to witness the tail end of tropical storm.....err....Hurricane....Hannah. I'm not sure which one it was. We got so much rain and wind, but it was pretty cool. I went down to our creek and watched the water rush over the rocks with amazing force...it was so loud and powerful. I was totally mezmerized. A few weeks back, I had my 3 hour spiritual retreat near the same place and it was dried up. That day I felt like God was saying I am like that dried up creek when I don't abide in Him. So, seeing that contrast today was awesome.....Life in the flesh vs. Life in the Spirit.

I could go on and on about this.....but I will spare you! :)

I'm thankful that y ou like letters from home. I'm so glad you are having an opportunity to use yur singing talent and are practicing guitar. Glad you have precious suite mates. Your description of the creek was a wonderful analogy. Love, MOM
PS your picture looks really pretty. I forgot where it was taken.
