My friends here at FPO say that it's been too long since I've posted, so I better write something!
Time is finally starting to fly by and I only have a matter of days here in Virginia! Can I get a HALLELUJAH?! I have enjoyed my time here so much, but I'm ready to "rob this train and get out of Dodge!!!"
Yesterday my roommate here invited me to hang out with her and some of her friends who live in Boston. So....me, my roomie, another ILC friend, and the 2 Bostonians headed to VIRGINIA BEACH! We walked the beach, waded in the water, and looked at all the crazy stuff people sell. After a great lunch we were ready for some ice-cream, so I got an incredible cone of chocolate and went outside to enjoy it. As I sat on a bench enjoying the first couple of licks, LO AND BEHOLD....the ice-cream went PLOP on the ground. After thinking about it for a minute, I walked back into the icecream shop with my sad, lonely, empty cone. The ice-cream scooper lady pitied me and filled it right back up!
After we had enough of sitting in the sand in our jeans, we headed back to the Jeep and took the top off. We cruised back towards Richmond with the wind in our hair (I seriously looked like Cousin It). Downtown Richmond proved to be an interesting place and we had a great dinner at this little restaurant with historic atmosphere, live music (guitar and upright bass) and great food.
All around a great day.....I was exhaused and sunburned when I finally got home around 11pm.
I went to the beach in California a few months ago and now I've seen the Atlanic......
"Coast to coast, I like beaches with you the most."

I like that last line there. ;)
Great post. I've heard the whole "get out of Dodge" quote before, but I love that you added "rob this train." That seriously mademe laugh.
Only a few more days and you'll be home. Just a few more and I'll be there.
Can't wait.
