What do you mean you don't eat no meat? It's okay...I make lamb.

It's been a crazy week in Virginia.
I celebrated by 23rd birthday, went through 3 days of VERY interactive security training, couldn't move my neck for a day, and almost passed out in the Greek Orthodox church!
Like i said....crazy week.

In other news, I promised some information about my new job and those I'll be working with.
*My title is humanitarian aid worker/english teacher.
*I will be working in a capitol city that has about 1 million people
*The people I will work with are very hospitable
*I will be doing most of my work in the city, but I will also travel to the villages often
*The climate is "continental" which means that I will experience 4 seasons. Fall is supposed to be long and beautiful, while winter is very cold.
*The pomegranate is an important symbol of the country
*I will live in an apartment near my supervisors
*The country experienced a tragic earthquake in 1988. Tragedy and loss are woven throughout their history...but I'm going to point them to HOPE.

Looking forward to getting on the field, but i also can't wait to finish training and be with those I care so much about. Looking forward to my 2 weeks at home.

The title of your post made me laugh. I'm not sure I get it, but it made me laugh.
The pomegranate is important? That's different.

I'm so sorry that your neck hurt
That's painful. Now who was fixing lamb? or is that what's going to happen? I like your most recent blog entry giving facts about the country/city and what you will be doing. Love, MOM

Can you put pics on this?
