My sister in law is just days away from delivering our newest family member....Madison Campbell Tubb. Yay!!! We thought she might come early this week, but she will probably be scheduled for a C-section next week.
My sister and I are all a-buzz with the Aunt Fever, and her kiddos are pretty pumped about having a little baby cousin. As my sis and I were discussing the probable C-Section, my 8 year old niece asked, "What is a C-Section?" Since I'm a very wise aunt (hahaha), I answered, "A C-Section is when the doctor cuts the baby out of the mommy's tummy instead of the baby coming out the other way."
Macy's eyes got big and made a swift movement downward and back up to me.
I nodded.
She once again motioned downward with her eyes and then back up at me.
I nodded again.
My mistake came when I said, "Well, that's how you were born."
Her eyes became even bigger as she said, "I feel dirty."
What in the world will she say when they explain "the birds and the bees"?
