I'm sure I will have other days that I struggle to love Crazy Lady
but
Today...when I looked at her, I saw a person. A woman. Someone who has been ripped apart by life. By evil. Oh, how Satan has delighted in making her life hell on earth. How he has delighted in stealing, killing, and destroying.
Will you stop and pray for her just a moment?
Pray for her freedom from bondage.
Pray for her healing.
Pray for peace in her mind and soul.
Pray for restoration.

My mom has always told me, "You never know what a person is going through". This is one of the wisest things I've learned. And since we never know what a person has gone through, what suffering, pain, and sin they have found themselves in, how much more should we love them with an unselfish love?
I was contemplating this issue of sin yesterday. Sometimes I have the attitude of, "Well, if they hadn't been involved in that sin, they would not be in this predicament!" Meaning, it's their fault they are in pain, suffering, and sadness, and difficulty. And it is. (The wages of sin=death) But, that's why Jesus came. To get us out of this predicament! To free us.
You never know what a person is going through. But, in sincere love, you can help them find freedom, joy,hope, healing, and life.

Very good words. As you know, I've got some people that I have a hard time loving. I've been doing better at it over the last year and your post here is yet another reminder to keep it up. Thanks.

Thank you for remembering and applying some of mama's words that I learned from my mother. Also, even if you or another person have gone through the same thing, that's only one piece in a person's puzzle. I think I should cut out, laminate, and put your words in a special place to remember them not only with adults but also with children. I love you!
