The past couple of days, the water has been pretty fickle. It will be normal, then later it will a weak stream that turns into nothing, and then yesterday it happened.
I got a text from my roommate when I was on the way home from the village telling me that there was no water. She also told me to be careful because there was a "mini-riot going on downstairs". (She later told me that this riot involved lots of shouting and pushing). She thought the two events might be connected.
So, I got home from the village late last night and felt nasty (the village just kinda rubs off on you). I hoped that by morning, the situation might be changed and I could shower. I was wrong! My getting ready this morning was interesting. I saw that there was a little water in the pitcher in the fridge. I used that to brush my teeth. There was also a little bit of water left in our hot water pot. I heated it up and put it in a large bowl--think Little House on the Prairie--to wash my face. I proceeded to get dressed and I decided to run across the street and buy some water. I REALLY wanted to flush the toilet--if ya know what I mean.
I came back with the water, put some in the bowl, flushed....and nothing. UGH.
I then thought, I should probably put some in the tank! So, I stared at the toilet for a minute trying to figure out how to take the stupid lid off. After some fiddling, I realized the flusher on top unscrews! I unscrewed the flusher, took the lid off part-way, added some water, put the lid/flusher back on, tried to flush...and.....OOOPS. Now the flusher doesn't work. And I still have a gross toilet.
At that point, I looked at my watch and realized I needed to be at the building to teach a student 1 on 1, so I left the toilet and went to work. Pretty annoyed. Angry I couldn't fix it myself. And feeling dirty.
I told my good friend, Artur, about all of that and he agreed to come and take a look later in the afternoon. When I got home in the evening, the water was back on--thank you Lord! And Artur came and fixed the flusher that I some how managed to take apart.
I hope this is the end of the water--and plumbing--saga. Yet, somehow, I don't think it is.

Yuck! That's no fun. I'm glad Artur helped you out. He always seemed to know what was happening and how to fix things.
You're right .. it probably won't be the end of water problems. What about the riot(s)?
On another note, what is your money? rubles, drams..?
Oh, the memorable sagas is living overseas...
Glad the water finally came back on!
When that happens over here thankfully I just shower at a friend's place!
