People stare at you.
You try to speak English very discreetly.
You have no idea what the shampoo bottles actually say.
You wish people would learn what standing in a line means.
Etc. Etc. Etc.
I've SO got the foreigner thing down! I was the foreigner for 2 years, living with people who seemed like foreigners to me. Now, I'm back in America, which seems foreign at times. Oh, I just want to be with some foreigners!
It felt so good yesterday to fill in as a substitute teaching ESL at the university where I graduated. I got into my ESL groove, made ridiculous examples, made the student laugh, almost translated words into Armenian 1000 times, and genuinely had a good time.

I can relate to being a foreigner, too.
Darla told me you were back. I'm sure we'll run into each other at some point. Take care :)
Jaclyn, I followed Erin Brassart's blog, and through her link I found your blog. Yours has been a blessing, too!
If you are interested in a resource to keep your language skills fresh, Through the Bible Radio has mp3's of J. Vernon McGee's lessons in Armenian (both East and West Armenian, actually).
