Let me try.....

Going to the village is always an adventure! From squatty potties to harvesting potatoes to innumerable cups of coffee to....milking cows!
I milked my first cow on Wednesday! A woman we were visiting had to excuse herself because it was time to milk the cows and my friend and I decided to tag along. After trying not to scare the chickens with my camera flash and getting used to the smell of the barn, I got a short lesson and the milking began! I was so excited/grossed out/amused that I shouted (in English) "I'm milkin' a COW!"

I know Wagoner, Oklahoma is a far cry from big city life, but I did not grow up milking cows and riding horses, so living a little bit of the country (village) life, always proves to be interesting.
I tell them I'm not from the village, but more like a small city, but they don't quite get it. So I'm often teased as being a "village girl", which has certain connotations around here. Gotta love it!
My friend, Arax, giving it a shot. She gave up pretty quickly!

Getting the hang of it....

"I'm milkin' a COW!"

I love the pictures.Your expressions are priceless. I've never milked a cow either (as you know) There are dairy farmers in the country outside Wagoner, but I think they use machines. Should I ask what a "village girl" means?

You are definitely getting an education. So, did you drink the milk?
